What to do in HAWAII?

OllieMalicious asked:

Hi all,
I’m visiting hawaii for a week from NY with a girlfriend, and we’re wondering what we absolutely cannot miss! We’ll be staying in Kihei, Maui, so anything close by would be great (But I also want to know if there is something that i just can’t miss it but it’s kind of far).

    Create a video blog…instantly.

    1) Wake up very early one morning and drive (or book a shuttle with your hotel) to the summit of Haleakala (volcano in East Maui) and watch the sun rise. It’s incredibly beautiful. After you can ride a bike back down the mountain or hike/horseback ride around the volcano. It gets a little chilly at that elevation so bring a sweater.

    2) Visit upcountry Maui, like Ulapalakua and Kula — it’s a reprieve from the touristy activities in Lahaina and very relaxing. You can visit a local winery, buy strawberries from a farmers market, or go to the lavender farm.

In my opinion, these are the best things about visiting Maui.
