Good for sleeping but not needed as long as you have decent fans. As stated the humidity is the real problem but if you live in the South or in the midwest and are used to it no big deal.</description>

I prefer NO air conditioning.  The weather is pretty similar there all year round, usually lovely and not very humid.  When I arrive, the hotel usually has put it on to cool the room, and then I turn it off.  If you prefer a lot of cool air you might like it.  I like it warmish and find it frigid when they leave it on.   You should check the average weather in HI for the time you will be there.  Most hotels have AC so you can have it on or off.  Also, Kihei is a wonderful location being central to all points of the island. I have stayed in Kihei many times and love it.  Have a great trip!</description>
