Apartments in Maui?
A J asked:
I read that the Habor Lights Apart. complex is questionable. What about other apartment complexes? Like the Puuone Gardens Apartments? I have been looking at the Maui News website and other Maui realtors website to see whats available. Are there any other apartment names that are safe to live in? I read that S. Kihei Rd. has been bad with theft. I really want something that’s small and simple because I plan on just working in retail or other small jobs just to pay the bills and live a quiet and simple life on Maui. What can I get on just working in retail or something similar making $7-$9 +/-?

I am not really crazy about Kahului, where Harbor lights is, and the other one I do not know, but look out for parts of Wailuku, as it is very local style. S Kihei, is good and bad. The rents over here are expensive, anywhere from 1000 and up. The west side or upcountry, Haiku, or Kula, is nice. You need to find someone with a nice quiet Ohana, you can rent relatively cheap, as the Ohana is close to the owners house, and they rent a little cheaper. If I were you I would get a copy of the Sunday Maui News, as it has a lot of rentals in the classified. Good Luck, Aloha
