Downline Retention – A Dream of a Networker
Every network marketer will tell you that MLM downline retention is one of the major problems for growing his business. That means that for every person he recruits to his MLM business, another two or even more will quit before even starting to work on their venture. Another ugly truth about multilevel marketing is that over 90 % of network marketers are loosing money, instead of making money. This problem greatly contributes to the attrition of the downlines. Therefore the permanent solution how to stop downline attrition and put together and keep together a sustainable downline partners, is the goal of all serious MLM-ers.
So, how then build a better MLM business? How to keep the downlines and the downline downlines? There are many factors to attain downline retention. Firstly, before one member is recruited, sort out each prospect carefully; choose the ones who do have the real desire do to do what it takes to succeed.
Then, supply proper training because most of the new members have no marketing or business background. The truth is most of the Network Marketing Companies offer excellent in-house training to keep the downline retention to minimum. But by becoming a leader, one can even excel by providing a special recruiting system. There are plenty of models around, especially, if one uses internet for promotion and marketing.
Of course, internet opened an amazing window opportunity for the different recruiting systems. Programmers offer numerous downline builder scripts all in order to cut down the downline attrition. Some of the scripts are quite outdated as the internet evolves rapidly; some are quite new and very good indeed. Searching Google will help to find the right script for any enthusiastic sponsor.
Though, with the technology comes a great responsibility. Working the scripts and online promotion should never ever replace a basic human touch. MLM was and is about people joining people. Here nothing has changed through the years. Internet has not changed that aspect of network marketing, either. Downline retention will be always difficult if the recruiter wants to be just that: a recruiter. Changing the attitude from a recruiter to a sponsor and providing the downline associates terrific support and motivation can produce miracles: the miracles that will make downline retention work.
